Dam Intake Tower

Spring Creek Dam

The existing intake tower at Spring Creek Dam consisted of a reinforced concrete structure, 13m high, with four columns and five platforms.

Access to the tower was achieved by constructing an earth coffer dam.

The badly deteriorated column foundations were reinforced with a new concrete foundation slab.

All the DN375 DICL Pipes, Valves & Fitings were replaced, a new Structural Steel Bridge, Ladders and Handrails were installed as well as a Cathodic Corrosion Protection System.
